I hope everyone had a great weekend with all the Christmas activities and shopping. I just wanted to post out to you so important information about our Dormant Stamps and Holiday Mini merchandise. All dormant stamps will be retired and no longer available soon. Also all of the merchandise for the Holiday Mini will no longer be available either. The date is January 4, 2010.

Hey all, I am so excited to show all of you the new Occasion Mini coming out on January 1st, 2010

Here is a sneak peek of Vintage Vogue, one of the new stamp sets coming out in the Stampin’ Up 2010 Occasions Mini Catalog. While I can’t post the Occasions Mini catalog until January 1st, I can post samples that I make for you!  This set is beautiful and has 8 stamps in the set.

The card is Rich Razzleberry with Old Olive embossed with a texture plate.   The design stamped on the right side is a vine  from the set, too.

Vinyl has become one of the hottest trends out there today in home decor and gifts. Decor Elements from Stampin Up! has become one of the most easiest products that I have seen to use and I have found many different uses for it.  You may have seen in earlier posts where I used it for Monogramming items, but I wanted to show you a project where I used it to make a cute Christmas Shadow Box last weekend.

Paper: Gold Cardstock, Vanilla Cardstock,
Ink: Versamark
Accessories: Gold Embossing Powder, Petals A Plently Embossing folder, Champange Shimmer Paint, Oval Sizzix Die

The base of the card is shimmery gold card stock and layered with Vanilla.  She embossed the greeting and Dasher with gold embossing powder.   She used Petals A Plenty embossing folder with the Oval resist technique.  (see technique here )   Then it looks like she sponged a little Champagne Shimmer Mist (from the Holiday Mini Catalog) on the flowers.

Paper: Whisper White, Shimmery Silver, Not quite Navy, Snow flake punch, Rhinestones

The base of the card is Whisper White and then layered with Shimmery Silver card stock that has been embossed with the Finial Press embossing folder.    The oval scallop frame (sizzix) is embossed with the same folder.  She embossed the trees with white powder on Navy card stock.  A little die cut snowflake and clear rhinestone brad finish it off!

The base of the card is Whisper White and the Real Red card stock layer is embossed with Petals A Plenty.    There is a bird in that set also but saved the task of cutting it out by using the coordinating Sizzlet, Merry Details. (Holiday Mini Catalog)

Uses the unique color combo here of Sage Shadow and Ruby Red with a bit of some  Chocolate Chip ink and ribbon, too.

Rich Razzleberry, Vanilla and Soft Suede are striking together!   The vanilla is shimmery and I think she rubbed the Frost White Shimmer paint on the edges and dotted the flowers on the embossed Razzleberry.

stamped with Silver Encore ink on Night Of Navy card stock.   She used the Eyelet Border Punch on our Shimmer Silver card stock layer and White Organza ribbon with a Filigree Designer brad.    The greeting is stamped in Navy ink and punched with the Modern Label punch.

I was thinking the other day that I wish I could have all of those wonderful wide ribbons in the SU catalog. I am so ribbon poorand would love it all, but alas, at $8.95 per roll, it just isn’t gonna happen. That’s when I thought, maybe some of my stamping friends out there would like some too. Hey all, I just now am finally recovering from last week and the Chattanooga regional. I spent all week doing Stampin Up stuff it seemed. This was going to be the 1st time for me to go to any SU sponsored event so I worked my tail off on swaps and ended up making about 75 after all was said and done. Thursday night I was able to attend a seminar on “Making a Better Workshop? by Georgia Giguere. This literally turned my world around as to how I do a workshop. She made this so simple and has been using the same workshop model for 7 years and it is still successful today.

Saturday, I drove down 2 hours to the regional in Chattanooga and was kind of overwhelmed at 1st with all he swaps that I was seeing. Lots of people had multiple varieties making me wish I had brought more. Oh well, I ended up with some good swaps in the end. I had so much fun with Marilyn, Mary Beth and Angie Carter. They were a hoot and I want to thank them for their support and also for allowing me to borrow some tools that I still don’t have.

Well now a day or so later, I am now working on Halloween goodies for my students tomorrow and the teachers and students at my kids school on Friday, so it looks like another busy week.
